Daniela caught my eye from the first time I saw her. It was on the main drag in Jaco and she came whipping by on skates, twirling and swaying from side to side. Just right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of life, there she was, skating by.

Pretty soon after that, I learned how to say in Spanish, “Hi, I’m a professional photographer and I’d love to take your photos,” determined that I would catch her one day before she disappeared. And I did.

Naturally, I wanted to shoot the skater girl and so we did exactly that on a side street for our first shoot. The second shoot was actually for a bikini company that had hired her as the model.
