Alyssa was the first model I photographed from North Carolina after moving to the state. Shot in the early months of the COVID-19 lockdown, we planned from the outset to be cautious. In reality, there was far more risk going to pick up groceries than our socially-distanced shoot. You remember.
From the start of the lockdown, I had wanted to shoot this plague doctor concept but had difficulty finding a model. I had a few responses but none of them had the look I was after. When Alyssa responded, I knew she was the person for it. I already had purchased the wardrobe so it was just a question of coordinating schedules.
And then I realized what a terrible waste it would be to just shoot the one thing while she was here so we did a Mid-Century Casting Couch set as well.
I will always work with Alyssa any chance I get. Fantastic model and a really good-vibin’ human.
